The headquarters for KoSho Karate is located at 3912 N Oracle Road in Tucson, AZ.  We are committed to providing quality martial arts instruction to each and every student. We place a strong emphasis on discipline and respect.   We look forward to serving you.  Learning is the key to all our work.  Our teaching is done as if we were working with our own family.   KoSho opened its doors, the first time, in Conover, North Carolina in 1974, and here in Tucson in March of 1983. The name KoSho when translated means “The Old Pine Tree School”. It was derived from the days in early Okinawan history when karate was forbidden. At that time martial artists had to practice and teach secretly at hidden locations in the pine forest. By doing so, those martial artists kept the old ways of their arts from being lost. Through its history, KoSho has been charged with a similar task: keeping the old ways alive, while developing new and modern ways to study and train.
